Bloom Pediatric Therapy takes a unique collaborative approach to private outpatient speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, and lactation support. We provide in person services for families in Mount Juliet, TN and surrounding areas, and teletherapy is also available to clients living throughout Tennessee.

Feeding Therapy
Is your child having difficulty with bottle feeds or transitioning to solids, struggling with trying new foods, or is only accepting a very limited amount of foods or liquids? From bottle feeding to picky eating, and everything in between. We can help!
Feeding therapy is truly the heart of Bloom Pediatric Therapy. Some children have particular challenges when it comes to eating. Sometimes, these struggles are related to an underlying health issue or a feeding disorder. We will work collaboratively to find the root cause. We strive to support families so that mealtimes can be enjoyable. We know that parenting is hard work, let us take this one off your plate.
We have expertise in a variety of disorders and diagnoses, including but not limited to:
Tongue and lip ties, oral motor delays, dysphagia, tube feeding, cerebral palsy, autism, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (AFRID)
Breastfeeding Support
Is your child having difficulty with latching, are you experiencing pain during feeds, is your child spitting up frequently? We can help!
Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and skills to ensure a positive breastfeeding experience from the start. We are trained in assessing, evaluating and making appropriate referrals for oral restrictions (ie tongue tie). We work collaboratively with providers in the community to ensure families reach their feeding goals.
We have expertise in a variety of disorders and diagnoses, including but not limited to:
Tongue and lip ties, oral motor delays, dysphagia, prematurity, torticollis/plagiocephaly, laryngomalacia and tracheomalacia, severe reflux. Additional maternal support includes: pre-natal planning, back to work support and supply issues.
Speech and Language Therapy
Do you have concerns about your child’s ability to communicate? Is your child difficult to understand or easily frustrated due to impaired communication skills? We can help!
We address articulation disorders as well as improve the way children understand and express their wants and needs. We also specialize in early intervention (birth to 3 years) to build a strong foundation for speech and language skills. Our goal is to empower children and their families by providing consistent, communicative strategies and techniques they can implement in everyday life. By following the child’s lead, therapy is both effective and fun.

Occupational Therapy
Is your child having difficulty with physical tasks, using crayons, pencils or scissors, confusing letters or numbers, or being overly sensitive to sound, how something feels or looks? We can help!
Through the use of evidence-based interventions, we assist in developing the skills necessary for daily living designed to promote independence and participation in everyday tasks. Pediatric occupational therapists provide treatment to help children meet developmental milestones, overcome sensory challenges and improve self-care, play and self-regulation skills.
Treatment areas for occupational therapist include: fine motor, gross motor, visual motor, visual perceptual, sensory processing, and self-care.
Meet the Owner
Kelcy Bonham, M.S. CCC-SLP
earned her bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Western Kentucky University and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from East Tennessee State University. She is an ASHA certified and Tennessee licensed speech and language pathologist. Kelcy has experience with treating articulation and phonology disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, and apraxia of speech. She also has experience working with the down syndrome and autism populations. She specializes in the treatment of infant feeding and swallowing disorders and is a certified lactation counselor (CLC).
Kelcy has always had a passion for helping children especially with improving their oral motor/feeding, and speech & language skills with a specific focus on birth to 5 years. She values building a strong rapport with the families she serves and believes that strong client-clinican relationship is the key to successful, long lasting outcomes in therapy.
In her free time, Kelcy spends time with her husband, daughter, and pets. They enjoy being outdoors, exploring new areas, and trying new restaurants.

Katrina Reed M.S. CCC-SLP
has been a speech-language pathologist for over 10 years! She enjoys working with children and helping them develop their speech, language, and feeding skills in a fun, positive, and effective way; she wants to find ways to educate parents and increase their carry-over to home. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degree from Western Kentucky University. Katrina has experience in the private practice setting, elementary school setting, and long-term care and rehabilitation facilities. She has experience with early language development, articulation, apraxia, AAC, dysphagia, and oral motor/feeding therapy.
Katrina enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Morgan Justison M.S., CCC-SLP
earned her bachelor's degree in communication disorders with a minor in child development at Southeast Missouri State University before completing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Maryville University. As an ASHA certified and Tennessee licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Morgan specializes in pediatric care, dedicated to helping children reach their maximum potential by supporting their development of speech, language and feeding skills. With a background in both the school and NICU settings, she brings expertise in articulation, AAC, language development, fluency, and feeding therapy to her practice. Morgan’s passion and commitment to her clients and their families promotes a positive and engaging environment for therapy.
Outside of work, Morgan cherishes time with her family and husband. They enjoy activities like boating, hiking, and exploring new destinations, while also rooting for the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Kerri O'Connor MOT,OTR/L
Kerri is an occupational therapist who earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from The University of South Alabama. Kerri has four years of experience in the outpatient pediatric clinical setting, helping children of all ages and disabilities, including autism, adhd, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and down syndrome. Her special interest areas include early childhood emotional development, primitive reflex integration, and animal-assisted interventions incorporating her therapy dog, Loli, a 2-year-old Golden Retriever, into treatment sessions.
Kerri strives for a client-centered approach, focusing on understanding each individual’s unique skills, abilities, and goals. Kerri believes that therapy goals are best achieved when carried over into daily life and values working as a team with parents and caregivers.
Outside of her professional role, Kerri loves exploring new places, being outdoors, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.

Does my child need therapy?Let’s set up a time to talk it out. You have access to a free 15 minute consult call to express your concerns. We will use that information to determine the next steps for you and your family.

Does my child need a doctor's referral to begin services?If you are wanting to use insurance, yes, you will need a speech therapy referral from their primary care provider prior to the initial evaluation.

My child has a recent evaluation. Do they need another one?In the event that a child recently had a comprehensive speech, language, feeding evaluation, therapy may begin following a review of previous reports. If additional information is needed, an evaluation may be needed.

Can my child benefit from both private speech/language therapy and school services?Absolutely! Many children participate in private therapy at Bloom Pediatric Therapy in addition to school services. We also treat children who would benefit from speech services but may not qualify due to the strict criteria needed to qualify for public school-based services.

What if my insurance is not on the in network list:We accept private pay and can provide a Superbill, a document that can be used to file for reimbursement directly with your insurance provider. Please refer to your health insurance plan to determine reimbursement eligibility.

What types of payment do you accept?We currently accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. In addition, the majority of speech and language therapy services can be paid for using your flexible spending account (FSA) or healthcare savings account (HSA). Payment is required at the time of service.
